Triple Threat

My Yashica Trinity will be featured on my first blog of the new year. Yes, I am back to shooting film again after a 2 year hiatus. These badboys are Rangefinders from the 60s-70s. What I love most about these are the build quality. SOLID METAL. Plus, it is aperture-priority so you don't have to fiddle too much with the settings. The shutter leaf is much faster than an SLR, which uses a mirror. Rangefinders have better optical quality in my opinion, while the SLR is good for sports and other stuff. If I lived in the 70s this would be the camera everybody would be eyeing. It's a really cool travel camera, I prefer these than Leicas. Leica is too expensive and is for rich people. A rangefinder is a rangefinder. Film is my baby, I shot film first for many years before moving to digital. I think all people who shoot need to start with the basics first before buying all the latest gear without any knowledge. You will appreciate the hobby more and invest more time in perfecting that shot.

I also have the EZ-matic which uses 126mm film. Haven't shot with this that much. 126 film is pretty hard to find.

The Ties that Bind

This is my Tokina 35-70mm f/2.8 pickup. Got it for $30. All Manual Focus but incredibly sharp!
