Took Sa to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Got some annual passes. 1 year of learning about fish related activities. Also went on that boat that cruises around Rainbow Harbor. Pretty swell.

Got (2) 7 ft. stripboxes from my buddy Karl. For an amazing deal. It is larger than me and can almost touch the ceiling. Another asset to the Nefarious Visions studio. I really like the quality of light it emits and the grids make it look dope:

Me, Murrie, Marz, and MiCool decided to venture to LA and meetup with Fill and try some awesome Korean tacos beyond the Kogi level. We took metrolink...just to be stylin' I love shooting at High ISOs, but I get too much noise. I think it's time to step up to a full frame soon

Consider yourself warned.
Had fun this weekend. Made use of my guerrilla lighting style and got that "Look" I've always wanted. Got really excited about editing, which I haven't done in awhile. Thanks to John for holding up the stand. The BickNarcelona look is done. I'm not gonna post the edited stuff here...so here's the pictures in their unedited form:
I like the moment when you can grab other people's flashes

For my Grampaz 89th birthday we hung out at his favorite seafood buffet. This surpasses Todai and Hokkaido. True story. The quality of food and the people are beyond the beyond.

Some various tidbits from my week. I took Sa to Shabu Shabu, then to guppy's for desert. We were supposed to go to a museum, but I didn't know they closed down Ripley's Believe it or not and The Wax Museum. We ended up going to downtown disney...then it started raining. I'll make it up to her. Fresh and Easy's Ceviche is awesome especially when it's on sale...Paid like $1.50 for a ceviche and a baguette. Win

Had a fun shoot with Angie last week. Thanks to V for being my lightstand. I need to get a sharper lens, because even I can tell the difference when using a $2000 lens compared to my $200 lens...Pro lenses always have that certain pop to them. My 35 f/1.8 is still my favorite lens and is on my camera 95% of the time. It's just the waiting game until I can pull off a D3s with a 35 f/1.4

Got invited to be apart of a shootout hosted by Justin and Lawrence. Not really fond of group shoots, but I had an interesting time meeting new people, golden ratios, etc. I turned off my autofocus and decided to manual focus on everything. I was exhausted because the night before I pulled an all nighter. Got some good IR practice too.
Thanks to Jonathan and Johanna for lending their time

Reception from Mark Pulido's victory in Cerritos. Move over Mondo Burger...there's a new city council member in town. I was gonna go to the inauguration, but instead went to Toastmasters to watch Misa blow the meeting away with her icebreaker speech. It was worth it. Great food at the performing arts center, last time I went was to see Anthony Bourdain live and raw. Didn't take much pics for myself. I spent this morning emailing 28 different people their individual pictures from the event. Met some interesting new people too. I hope this opens the door for future gigs.
