Celebrating 18 and 15

It was my cousins' birthdays today. It was a joint party. Mad Crowded. Felicci and Gian's (clinton) bday. We did a semi-debut style throwdown for Cci with all the roses at whatnot. It was really swell. Gian can now apply for his permit. Cci is legal. Who knows what kind of crazy things these crazy kids can be up to. Food was great. I tried igadoo spaghetti today. It was strange. Espasol blocks are cool. Karaoke nonstop mode. Here's what happened:

Mach One Wrestling presents Friday Night Fights

The M1W, a branch of NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) gathers in Anaheim for weekly bouts. Along with a kayfabe storyline and the presence of heels and faces, the event felt very nostalgic. Event was held at the sport center near disneyland. The fans brought their own signs as their spirit. I admit it was very energetic and the performers showed great dedication for the love of sports entertainment. The last time I watched wrestling was in 2002 when the WCW merged with the WWF and the NWO appeared. After that the name was changed to WWE, due to the fact that the real WWF (World Widelife Fund) wound sent their pandas in a match against them. Anyways the NWA is across the nation and mainly consists of independent circuits. The fans are really dedicated. I was surprised. Since the only major branches now are WWE and TNA, the smaller guerrilla groups have a better fighting chance in making a name for themselves. Maybe sometime in the future I'll check out other events...it's pretty interesting. Montreal Screwjob on full blast.

The Last Great Convenient Store of Our Time

Team Throwdown went to FAMIMA! aka the Westcoast Quick Stop. Sadly Famima! on South will be closing their doors on December 3rd after being in business for 2 years. Thats 14 years in dog years. The Famimaians are holding 50% off everything in the store including the drywall and the steel counter welded onto the ground. We say our farewell by getting pissed at the franchise for selling all the hi-chew. What remains are few drinks and various snacks, as well as TAKI. My first Famima! experience led me to purchase Deep Fried Curry Bread and Sweet Tea along with umeboshi wraps. They have really delicious burritos and single serving dishes.

This occurred Thanksgiving Day 2009. Approximately 8PM

Thanking the Giving

Today is Black Friday. I spent/wasted a lot of money. I need to take a break. Yesterday, however, was Thanksgiving. The America Tradition of feasting resulted from the stealing of native American lands. Last night I ate a lot, took macro pictures, became worthless. Last Noon I worked at a soup kitchen service interesting fellas from 323/310.

This was my meal for lunch:

Why I did it? To serve those less fortunate and give thanks for what I have.

This was my dinner:

Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc the whole day. I feel worthless. The best alternative to celebrate Thanksgiving everyday is go to KFC

Be Thankful

Eat a lot today.
I wanna do a seafood themed Thanksgiving sometime in the future. But for now, I enjoy this amazing gout inducing snack called - seafood spread. So far today I had it on a sandwich, by spoonful, over rice, and on crackers. This stuff is amazing. If I had a mini pocket fridge I would carry this stuff and furikake around all the time.

Imitation Crab for life.

I love crabs. Imitation crab is great too, I mean its made from surimi, which is basically the same as grounded and grinded fish flesh. So it's all good as long as its oceanic. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Buy Seafood Spread. Spread the love.

Custom Reese's x Nutella Frrrozen Hot Chocolate

Whenever Serendipity 3 is mentioned, its name is always synonymous with frrrozen hot chocolate, which is basically a shake made with hot chocolate. It is not pre-made hot chocolate put into a freezer, but damn...the first time I tried it I was speechless. I decided to put a new mix to the recipe. I'll show you Frrrozen Hot Chocolate Nicholas. A.C. Barcelona Style.

Ingredients:
Blender
Goblet (I didn't have one so I used a cool glass mug I found)
Bendy straw (So this shit will look legit)
3 Tablespoons Sugar
Nestle Hot chocolate packet
Favorite Chocolate bar
2 1/2 Cup Milk
3 Cups Ice
1 Tablespoon Nutella (optional. your preference on how much nutella you want in your system)
Milk Mix Vanilla
Cookie Dough Bites
Whipped Cream
Photobucket

For a special garnish I threw in some Ghirardelli's Carmel Milk Chocolate Square
Photobucket

Step 1: Cut you favorite chocolate into bits. I chose a reeses bar. Put it in a microwave safe bowl and you warm that piece for about a 45 sec-1min. However, it depends on your microwave, I tried this at a friend's house and it ended up burning.
Photobucket

Step 2: It ends up looking like this. I laughed for 5 mins.
Photobucket

Step 3: Yeee. The fixins. Add the nutella, sugar, packet of hot chocolate, and 1/2 a cup of milk to this piece. Then you stir. Mine ended up looking like this:

50mm Comparisons.

I have 2 50mm lenses.
The 50mm f/2 Non-Ai from my Nikon FM and the 50mm f/1.8 D (aka Nifty Fifty). I'm planning to get a 50 f/1.4 soon, but I'm still debating if I should get the 50 f/1.2 which is manual focus.

This is my 50 f/2 which I used for film. Still works flawlessly, but I have been spoiled by AF
Photobucket

The Challenge:
50mm f/1.2 = $500

vs.

50mm f/1.4 D = $300

I'm seriously leaning towards the 50f/1.2. According to Rockwell it is the sharpest 50mm lens. but for modern cameras the 50f/1.4 is cheaper and more useful. I could prolly find one for about 220 on KEH. I'll take some time to think on this...

Amazing Sandwich

A couple of days ago I had an amazing sandwich.
Grilled Cheese, Chicken Salad, and spiced roast turkey. Glorious Gold x Stylish Silver.
I put some shoes up for sale. Sz 11. Hawaii, Supreme High Red, Slam City, Vamp, Heineken.
Soon to follow are: Buck, Shy Pink, De La Highs, J-Packs.
I'm debating whether my Shy Pinks, Medicom 3, and Unkle Low should make the cut.
