I was pretty sick and running a temperature when shooting the event. I still pulled through for a few hours. Didn't get to do any private shoots or media coverage like I normally do. I feel bad for not network as much at this event...it's cool though. Next time will be better. Hopefully the D800 comes out soon, because I hate looking at this money and not being able to spend it. Scenes from Mfest. I didn't stay for too long because it was super hot and I was hungry/thirsty. Fun stuff though. Met some interesting people and non-interesting people.

A fun little BBQ and meet in the Norwalk district. Thanks Kfresh, Neurotic, and Gen5. It was also fun meeting new peeps.

JDM Sport SoCal Import Nights

Nice cloudy evening in City of Industry. Haven't been to a meet in awhile (Freshman year college was the last time w/ 9th Gen Corollas)...but it's nice to be back in the scene to see some new faces. Food trucks were awesome and the rides were sick. Mama Roxy was there so I had to give her the appropriate mother's day card. My network is building up slowly...pretty dope!

Drift Formula

About 2 sleeps ago Long Beach hosted Formula D on it's streetz. This is normally where the Grand Prix is held annually. It was the qualifying round, so the event is not as intense as it would be on saturday. I was not media for the event, so I just attended as a fan. It was fun to get that smoke in your eyes. The angle the the audience got was pretty bad, but it made things more interesting depending on perspective. I have to shoot cars more too.

XDC Irwindale

I can't remember the last time I was here. I think I was shooting with Chopblock back in 2003-5...ah those were the good old media days. Now internet has gotten viral so everybody is press. D1 was still the greatest drifting event I covered + doing press with a point and shoot back then was legit. Fun day...I shot with IG and about to get back into shooting vehicles and such. It's nice for a change since I'm always shooting people.
