I live in Yunzabit Heights, but even after the storm the Tsumisumbri Mountains had their snow melted within days. Terrible.

This is how my day went

Finally, someone didn't flake on craiglist transaction. Went to LA and did some seasonal photo shoots with a group of friends. I saw John Ross Bowie at Delta Taco across the street. At the time I didn't know his name some I referred to him as Kripke from Big Bang Theory. He was with his dog and feeding him machaca
Me: That's a cool dog.
Kripke: Oh, thank you! His name is Jack.
Me: Hi Jack! (While waving my hands)...you look familiar. Did Sheldon ever get that "Friendship Algorithm correct?
Kripke: Haha, nice. I never heard that one before. Yes, I'm Barry Kripke.
Me: Oh Awesome! I'm a big fan of your work.
Kripke: It's always nice to meet a fan.
Me: Alright sir. Take care now I gotta head back.
Kripke: Likewise.
That was awesome. I didn't really have to go, but I didn't want to look like a dick or obsessed fan. I checked out some vintage shops and surplus stores around sunset. Delta tacos are bomb btw. I also went to this comic book store and talked to the employees about Scott Pilgrim. They are excited too. I mentioned that I was an extra in the film, and I didn't get to meet Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers) or Ellen Wong (Knives Chau). Knives is my favorite character, I just dig her methods. After a break I went UNDFTD with the group and checkout out our favorite clothing brand, then finished shooting along sunset. Some guys were filming a skate movie and I just watched and headed to LB where I would catch a performance of the Nutcracker. It was really good. I was expecting a full ensemble with the accompanying ballet, but it was another audio recording. It was still great nonetheless. I am Simbang Gabi at the moment. Lots of beautiful women here no joke. I also signed up for the white elephant gift exchange. 30 people signed up and it's stratified into age groups. 18-25 for me. The majority are women 20 to 10. I hope they enjoy the Best of Dog the Bounty Hunter Seasons 1-4 DVD or a framed portrait of Jackie Chan in mid sneeze with my phone number taped on the back. haha. most of the people are amazed by my netbook, they now want one for christmas.

Woke up to this awesome tag request

Need to change my card soon. I don't like the whole "photography" thing. It makes you look like a showoff

50mm Comparisons.

I have 2 50mm lenses.
The 50mm f/2 Non-Ai from my Nikon FM and the 50mm f/1.8 D (aka Nifty Fifty). I'm planning to get a 50 f/1.4 soon, but I'm still debating if I should get the 50 f/1.2 which is manual focus.
This is my 50 f/2 which I used for film. Still works flawlessly, but I have been spoiled by AF

Shot with 50mm f/1.8 D @ f/1.8

Shot with 50mm f/2 @ f/2

50mm f/2 with converter

The Challenge:
50mm f/1.2 = $500

vs.
50mm f/1.4 D = $300

I'm seriously leaning towards the 50f/1.2. According to Rockwell it is the sharpest 50mm lens. but for modern cameras the 50f/1.4 is cheaper and more useful. I could prolly find one for about 220 on KEH. I'll take some time to think on this...

I've been looking everywhere for this poster. This wasn't an official US release and only available through Nike.Ph. It sold out everywhere. Luckily my cousin James scored me one from the Philippines. It was smaller than the average 24'' x 36'' poster standing at 18" x 24". It doesn't matter though. He hooked it up and I'm thankful. It is really nice and glossy. I checked out some ebay and other memorabilia sites and it's going for $100!
Check it out: http://www.nike.com.ph/giveusthisday/
go make that your desktop background. Show some support for the motherland's national fist.

Nice. Thanks James Tamayo!
