First Rolls

Check out my first rolls of film I developed on my own. This was back in 2003. Shooting with a Nikon FM with 50mm f/2 lens. Kodak TMAX 100 film. I was terrible, I couldn't get my film on the reel through a black bag. Some schools just did it in the dark (I wish I could've done that instead), but I successfully improved on this technique and ended up converting my laundry room into a dark room for 2 years. Developing professional film at labs are quite expensive. Plus with a dark room you are able to manipulate images more with burning and dodging. Good times. I'm back to shooting film again, so I apologize for lack of updates. I tend to shoot better with film because I actually have to compose the picture, check exposure, etc. The thrill of developing and finding out how my pictures turn out is more of a kick than checking it on a digital. Film is a huge sacrifice, but it makes you a better photographer.
